Just one of those days?

I’m sure you’ve had ‘one of those days’ when everything you do seems to go wrong. This article will explain why this happens and how you can make sure that from now on, you will have one amazing day after another.

You will not have read anything like this before. Here goes…

The brain functions at different frequencies at different times of the day.

Names have been given to these frequencies. Names like Alpha, Beta and Theta etc but we’re just going to call them low, medium and high frequencies.

During the night when you’re asleep, your brain functions at a very low frequency. This is unconsciousness and its purpose is to allow your brain to rest so it can recuperate from the trials and tribulations of the day before.

Stressful situations, difficult problems, worries and concerns all use up specific chemicals the brain needs to function properly. This is why if you don’t get enough sleep then stressful situations, difficult problems, worries and concerns all seem ten times worse.

In order to tackle the trials and tribulations of the day, the brain must be at a high frequency. So when it’s time to wake up, your brain will release chemicals that begin this increase in frequency. When it starts to come out of low frequency, you become aware of where you are but you’re still sleepy.

You start ‘stirring’.

As the chemicals do their stuff, you become more and more awake until eventually your eyes creak open and you have an overwhelming desire to see what time it is. Usually gauging it on how light it is outside.

At some point you say to yourself “I’m going to have to get up” and up you get to begin your day.

During the day, the frequency of the brain goes up and down between high and medium frequency levels. This is why certain tasks are easier at certain times of the day.

If you have a nap during the day, the frequency drops to a low frequency. This allows the brain to rest again… which is good.

The cycle ends last thing on a night when you go to bed. Other chemicals are released by the brain that lower the frequency so that you become tired and eventually cart yourself off to bed where the chemicals continue their work taking you into unconsciousness.

Incidentally, insomnia sometimes happens because you get impatient with this process… which causes stress… which counteracts the chemicals that lower the frequency of the brain.

There are other causes though.

Now, when the brain is in a low frequency, it is easily influenced by the thoughts you have at that time. So if you think about something stressful in a morning just as you become aware of where you are then you will have a stressful day.

On the flipside, if you think about something pleasurable in a morning just as you become aware of where you are then you will have a pleasurable day… or at least a much more pleasurable day than if you thought about something stressful.

Whatever thoughts you have when you’re becoming aware of where you are in a morning or just after a nap, you will have those same thoughts throughout the day.

The thoughts you have at this time seem random at first. Sometimes you think of stressful thoughts… and have a bad day. Sometimes you think of pleasurable thoughts… and have a good day.

But you can (and should) take control over these thoughts.

The very best thoughts to have at this time are thoughts of self love. These types of thoughts are the most pleasurable and as a result, will make your day the most pleasurable it can be.

I have identified three types of thoughts. Auditory, visual and emotional.

An auditory thought can be someone’s voice or more commonly it is a song or a tune you’ve heard before. A visual thought is usually a picture of someone you know or used to know. And an emotional thought is an emotion you have felt before.

So the worst thing you can think about in a morning when you’re becoming aware of where you are is a heavy metal song on death and destruction, a picture of your worst enemy and the emotion of hatred.

The very best thing to think about as you become aware of where you are is a soft gentle song with nice loving words, a picture of yourself (ideally as a child) and the emotion of love.

I’m sure you agree with me. I mean, which one sounds more pleasurable?

So I strongly suggest that as soon as you become aware of where you are in a morning (or after a nap), imagine your child self sitting on your knee, smiling, happy and you hugging him/her, looking lovingly at him/her, singing a soft gentle song and feeling love for him/her.

When you do this, you’ll notice, strangely, that you hum the soft gentle song and feel love for yourself for most of the day.

This will drastically increase your self esteem which in turn will give you the strength to deal with anything whether it be a huge challenge or someone hurling abuse at you.

You’ll find that if you have things to do, you will get them done… you’ll want to do them. You’ll get more done than you would normally do and with seeming ease. You’ll feel happy and reasonably relaxed. The people around you will respond too. They will feel more at ease around you because you’re happier (I mean, who is nicer to be around. A miserable person or a happy person?)

Try it for yourself and if it works (and it does - I've tried it), then take a look at more tips and techniques for improving your chances of getting what you deserve by visiting my site:
